Solo Chapeau

Website

Judith Solodkin has been constructing hats for personal wear for over 30 years having studied at F.I.T with Anne Albrizio, Janine Galimard, Nora Navarro and Janet Linvelle. Bill Cunningham and Patrick McMullan have documented many of her creations and the chorus of “I like your hat” echoes where she goes. Retiring from an art career as a Master Lithographer, Printer and Publisher for her company SOLO Impression Inc. she is now devoting her time to SOLO Chapeau. She recently relocated her Chelsea studio to Riverdale, Bronx, New York where she believes that low overhead is “over head.”

As a member of the Milliner’s Guild Judith participated in the shows One Block, Many Milliners and Day and Night. One of SOLO Chapeau’s specialties is digital embroidery and Judith teaches this exquisite couture skill at the School of Visual Arts in New York.

Look to SOLO Chapeau for unusual materials, inventive construction and unique and amusing hats. These are hats that do more than add personality. They are each sublimely personal.
