For the modern hat-wearer with an appreciation for vintage style, I create each Hatnip hat from top-quality millinery materials, including some truly special and unique vintage materials. From French silk veiling to vintage pompons, Bakelite buckles to celluloid cherries, silk moiré and silk plaid ribbons, and many, many other items, I have a delicious stock of unique trims and materials on hand to incorporate into each one-of-a- kind Hatnip hat.
My Chapel Hill, NC millinery studio is housed in a historic 150-year old farmhouse and is open by appointment. I make ready-to-wear hats seasonally and also accept custom commissions. Visitors and clients may also visit my millinery studio without an appointment during the annual Orange County Artists Guild Open Studio Tour which occurs the first two weekends in November.
