ACTIVE MEMBERS: Garment District Window

ACTIVE MEMBERS have been invited to participate in the Garment Center window on 38th St for Textile Month.
Invitees received an email with the below information.

RSVP with your Yes or No by July 31st.  If we have not received your RSVP by July 31st, you will not be included.

Below are the details.  Please email Sally Caswell with questions.

The window will be set up as a vignette of a milliner’s studio.  The colors used in the vignette will coordinate with the Guild brand colors.

Hat Details:

  • White hat with coral trim.  Our brand color is Pantone 1777C (see image below, but remember that screens are not always reliable for color matching);  get as close as you can.

  • Fall Hats only, no fascinators.  Cut and sew is fine, but be sure it will not sag while hanging.

  • The hats will be on trees or stands for about a month, so you must make something that will not droop or look sad after hanging for a while.

  • Once we have the final list of participants, you will be given a number that must be on your box and in your hat.

  • All participating milliners’ names will be in the window; format TBD.

  • Participation fee is $20.

Set up:  September 3

Break down:  TBD, but approximately October 9
