Sarah Sokol was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY and started attending The Fashion Institute of Technology’ summer courses when she was 14 years old. After changing her path for college, Sarah received her BFA in Interior Design at Pratt Institute and spent three years designing commercial kitchens for clients like Alex Stupak, The Meatball Shop, and Andre Balasz.
Inspired by the creativity of the Burning Man Community, Sarah began to design costume headpieces. She then set out to merge her lifelong love of fashion with her training in architectural and spatial design, to focus on millinery full time.
Inspired by Anya Caliendo’s work, Sarah took Anya’s Advanced Couture Millinery Course. She studied detailed techniques of couture millinery, techniques she practices today in her studio.
Using these techniques, Sarah create unique hats and headpieces for all occasions. From classic to outrageous she can make the imagination come to life.
