Jacques Fath

(1912 - 1954)

One of the leading figures of postwar fashion, Jacques Fath drew on the drama of theater and ballet to create daring designs and bold color combinations. Bustles, corsetry, cinched waists and voluminous skirts were recurring elements of his style. His international clientele included Marlene Dietrich, Grace Kelly, Josephine Baker and Rita Hayworth.
