Jeanne Lanvin
(1867 - 1946)
Jeanne Lanvin opened a millinery shop in Paris in 1889 before expanding into dressmaking and building one of the city’s most enduring fashion houses. By the 1920s, the house had diversified into menswear, children’s clothing, furs, lingerie and home furnishings. Known for meticulous embroidery, decorative detail and its signature shade of Lanvin blue, the house became synonymous with romantic refinement.
